Residential EV Charging Stations Electricians
Featuring an affordable price point, 250+ miles per charge and low energy cost, it is no wonder more and more homeowners are switching towards electric vehicles. There are three levels of EV charging devices we can install depending on your driving habits and how frequently you need to recharge your vehicle.
Level 1: This is the standard charger that comes with your electric vehicle and is installed into your normal 3-prong outlet. There is no electrician installation required, but keep in mind it will take 20+ hours to achieve a full battery charge. Many electric vehicle owners find great value in upgrading to Level 2 or 3 chargers.
Level 2: The upgraded level requires a dedicated 240-volt circuit professionally installed by a licensed electrician. EP Electric LLC can install the level 2 charger regardless of your existing wiring and panel configuration. At this level, you can reach full battery within 3 hours. We highly recommend upgrading to the level 2 home EV charging station to ensure your vehicle is never without batter and can charge quickly.
Level 3: These at the standalone EV charging devices you’ll find at gas stations and highway rest areas. Since they draw industrial-level power they are not available for residential installation.

When our residential electricians arrive for a level 2 EV installation service the very first step is to inspect the equipment and your home’s electrical system to ensure it can handle the added output. Next, we’ll install a 40-amp, 240-volt circuit and 8-AWG wiring that all comply with national and local codes. Finally, the EV charger is tested to make sure everything is functioning to full capacity.
